Frequently Asked Questions:
What if I lose my phone or it crashes? - We recommend using your personal cloud service and/or sending yourself email reports periodically. Check the "attach .csv file" when sending reports so that your data file will available for import back into your new phone or to a spreadsheet or other software. If the app closes unexpectantly (crash), please use the contact form in the app to let us know. You will need to describe when it is occuring. A log of activity on the app and sample data is automatically attached to help us investigate the cause of the crash. You may delete the attachments in the email if you have privacy concerns, but this may impede resolution.
What about privacy? - Your data is only stored on your phone, your cloud service or where you send reports. We do not have access to it. See more info about our privacy policy see below.
What type of error checking can I do? - You can use the sort/filter feature to find missing, duplicate or blank entries, or you can compare one property to another or one year to another.
If I cancel my subscription can I still access my data? - Yes. All features will still be available except you would not be able to add data records if you have 20 or more records. You may export your data via .csv files readable by Excel and other apps.
I am not able to send email. The message says Devise not configured to email? - You may be emailing through another app and not Apple. Your email has to be set up in your iPhone settings before you can use it in the REM App. If you go to iPhone settings, mail, account, select your mail provider (gmail, yahoo,..) then look at the outgoing mail server. It should say SMTP going to gmail, yahoo, or whoever your provdider is.
Sometimes I don't see suppliers or properties in the popup menu that I have previously entered? - Most of the pop-up menus are based on existing data in the current file. If you change files, the app reviews which suppliers are in the current file to seed the pop-up menu. The exceptions are expense, income and payment types. Those pop-up lists are used across all files and may be changed in the Settings or by just adding them during expense entry.
